I get pissed-off when the elite, high on arrogance and attention, tell us how they just found Africa’s most creative and influential fashion designer of our time, and one to watch in the industry. Shamelessly they’ll also make an “Avant-garde” previews like;
you have to see to believe; African, and African American (Afrocentric) styles, there are styles inspired by Asia, (Afro-Asian), Caribbean, (Afro-Caribbean), Europe, (Afro-European), Arab / Middle East, (Afro-Arabia/Middle Eastern, and Span/Latino, (Afro-Spanish/Latino).
Please….. where do they get these people from, my soul is bleedin…with ethinicity!
Don’t make me shoot you with my arrow!
Live in the present and you’ll never know what you’ll find.
Be a soldier and as hard as a rock in the realms of darkness. You should live the way you desire because, your life is your empire!
I wear Kijeshi because it represents a journey of an african man I can relate to, it represents a continent I have learnt to love dearly, and it represents the people that I care about the most. I believe I am a King in my own right. “Made to fit Kings and Queens.”
African fashionistas of the day…
Merry Xmas and a Happy New-year from Free Uganda Critical Media!!
Christmas is all about indulgence with rich foods,alcohol,late nights and stress of the festive season
christmas is just another flip of a calender but 1st january always feels so enormous.
Don’t panic but there’s a cultural revolution taking place among young African women.
The aim of the new cultural revolution is to make a statement that expresses a reaction to racists and neo-colonialists that African are beautiful and sexy.
For most African girls the new year is less about dieting, detoxing and all others faddish things European women feel compelled to do after a festive period of excess.
Hope that another unit of 52 weeks, 365 days will bring all those dreams to nutrition, health and hapiness to the people they love and that things will be better for them.
Have a wonderful festive season!!!!
The African girl has not given-up yet her big dream of walking the catwalk
The difference between African beautiful girls based in African and their counterparts in Europe and America is that they don’t owe much to model makers but nature. what is seen in Europe as beauty is what the top fashion, designers, magazine editors and the entourage of make-up artists have packaged for them.
To be continued!!
