When a girl feels that she's perfectly groomed and dressed she can forget that part of her. That's charm. The more parts of yourself you can afford to forget the more charm you have.

Living in Southwest Uganda makes someone develop a Personal style that has hallmarks of a Kivutien [Kivu is a a Province in Eastern Congo DRC] as most of us have blood connections in that part of Congo. Well, I suppose Kigezi [SW uganda] is in Kivu.

Just as color can be the distillation of complicated moral messages-viginal white, mournful black, sexual red, poofy pink(hehehe)- Color can also camouflage:

Black can hide stains, detract from whacky tailoring and general wear. It goes with all colors, even the cheapest of fabrics look descent in black. It can be elegant, classic, sexy, funky, or mournful. It imparts timeless to clothes and it has an impressive pedigree-it has a unique ability to stand out, blend in, seduce and repel

People in Kivu[Kivutiens] will never do one thing, and that is to throw up their hands and shake their heads in defeat when a dress does not fit .The African body is very glorious and more exciting when a woman is dressed sexier. In Kivu, a dress has no meaning unless it makes a man want to take it off.

Consciously or unconsciously, Kivutiens have considered which parts need the spotlight.
Congolese in general like progressive fashion and tend to respond to each trend. Kivutiens are very aware, that Good clothes open all doors.

The One thing in Kivu, when it comes to dressing, there’s no character analysis in front of a three-way mirror, even Mama Munene [big girl] will slip on that -tight pant and let the fitina [haters] comment on their radiance – eh, the big girl is wearing something that makes sense of her body.

There’s nothing like an impeccable outfit, a flattering  haircut, and good personal grooming to refute the uniformed perception that generalise Kinyarwanda speakers of Kivu are undisciplined. Kinyarwanda speakers are the most fashionable in Congo DRC, maybe in Africa.

Most people tend to think that dressing good is to do with having loads of money. Wrong!! Have you ever wondered why people with so much money don’t dress cool? Coz they are not cool.
You can look fashionable and save money-please don’t try to dress like those Kampala boys who seem to think that the entire town has to wear the same trend. Be yourself and develop a unique personal style that truly works.

Most Men don’t look nice in suits- You know yourself, try and get a style that works. How? By asking questions: Who am I? What clothes suits my life style? What do I like to wear. The answers will help you learn how to dress for any occasion, Choose the right clothes and accessories for your body type, and look smashing from morning to evening.

The world has come to know the Democratic Republic of Congo-DRC, as a place where you can go to; rape, loot & plunder, and then murder (women, men children, old people) in millions because you can easily get away with it, as long as you’re doing it for Paul Kagame and Yoweri Museveni.

After realising that all Congolese politicians are the most selfish and have no heart for Congo but themselves and imperialists, we have decided to use culture as our weapon to build Congolese confidence-Cultural and not armed revolution is what Congo needs.

In this Issue we look at how modern fashion is influencing the Congolese woman.

However, Congolese people being such a determined people, they’ve not given up their dreams, they’re the most resilient on this planet and they are blessed with the biggest hearts.
